Empower every 'body'
The Body Workshop Pilates is an Online Pilates studio with weekly Mat and Reformer classes, monthly workshops, and feature classes.
The roots of The Body Workshop began with dance, originally a dance school founded by Anne Gibson in 1987. Anne qualified with Polestar Pilates UK in 2002 and started teaching Pilates to the community in local halls.
In 2011 Anne and her daughter Becky (Polestar Pilates qualified in 2004) opened Cirencester’s first Pilates studio, offering One to Ones, Mat classes, and Reformer classes, which continued to welcome clients until May 2022.
To enable an improved work-life balance, and to fully embody our value of wellbeing, the physical Cirencester Pilates studio closed, making space for our Online Pilates Studio to grow.
We’ll always love connecting with our clients in-person and offer a range of day retreats and pop-up classes to allow for a comprehensive experience of Pilates.

Pilates is a low-impact, intelligent movement, which is suitable for any ‘body’ from beginners to elite athletes.

Our skilled teachers offer you the opportunity to move through and explore the Pilates exercises from a perspective you might not have experienced before. This allows for options and choices within your body that can be carried over into daily life and other exercise techniques.

Our owner Becky A’Hearne is a mentor for Polestar Pilates UK students. Becky trained with Polestar in 2004 and has been a mentor since 2010. Students are welcome to take
- One-to-One’s in person with Becky in Bristol
- One-to-One’s online (these can be mat, reformer, or comprehensive based)
- Attend Livestream Mat and Reformer classes
- All sessions can be logged within the student logbook
- Student discounts can be offered on memberships

The Franklin Method®
‘Embodying function improves function’ – Eric Franklin
At The Body Workshop Pilates we are passionate about the Franklin Method and the change it creates in body and mind. The Franklin Method uses various methods of imagery to enhance and optimise all movement. The impact of incorporating The Franklin Method into movement practice is truly transforming.
We have two team members that are Franklin Method Educators – Charlotte Clarke, a guest instructor and presenter is a Level 3 Franklin Method Educator and Becky A’Hearne, a Level 1 Franklin Method Educator. Becky brings elements of the Franklin Method into her Pilates classes and Charlotte presents Online Workshops.
